A native Oregonian, Ceramist, Certified Yoga Teacher, Photographer and Nature Lover, I can be found hiking the trails of the Columbia River Gorge with my dog Yuki or biking the hills of Portland. I have done event photography for Nordic Northwest, Living Yoga, the DAYA Foundation and the Teacher Training at OSCI. For 11 years I was the sole owner of Encanto Press, a letterpress printing and design business. I then began an in-depth study of yoga and eventually co-led Trauma-Informed Brain-Sensitive Yoga Trainings. I taught yoga at multiple studios and businesses including Keen, and subbed classes at Jive Software and Airbnb. I also taught yoga and meditation classes at OHSU’s March Wellness. My time as a volunteer at the Oregon State Correctional Institution, teaching inmates to become 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teachers, was transformational.
After a stint selling Turkish Textiles, creating pottery is now taking center stage. I continue my personal practice of yoga and teach classes at Touchmark in the West Hills to people who are 50+. Much like the practice of yoga making pottery brings me a sense of calm and centeredness. I love to share my artwork with others and see people light up when they have a kinesthetic connection to my pieces.
I wish you well and hope to see you on the path.
